What comes after the ISO 9001/14001 or OHSAS 18001 Certification?
After you achieved your goal of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS 18001 certification, you have to maintain the respective management systems that you have put in place and to continue to work to develop operational excellence through continuous improvements.
Once every three years (i.e. the third year of each 3-year ISO 9001/14001 or OHSAS certificate period), the business/enterprise will need to re-assess the quality management system for ISO 9001, Environmental management system for ISO 14001 and Occupational Health and Safety management system for OHSAS 18001 to qualify for renewal. The duration of the re-assessment is typically 2 or 3 days. For company who is currently bizSAFE STAR Enterprise, it is advisable to time the renewal along with OHSAS 18001 as it is one of the key requirements to sustain bizSAFE STAR status.
We encourage you to give some buffer time of at least 3 months before the expiry to plan and execute the renewal process. This ensures you maintain the valuable credentials and continue to gain the benefits of ISO and/or OHSAS certifications.
Regardless of whether you had attained the certification with our support or other 3rd party vendor, VES Global consultants can work with you to chart out the renewal plans, perform the re-assessment and audit in preparation for the successful renewal/recertification. Your success and satisfaction is our Motivation!
